Bull American Bison
Majestic animal! The male is identifiable by the huge muscle on his upper shoulders, used to spar with other bulls and in order to “plow” deep snow, clearing way for the frozen grasses underneath. Unfortunately, I got a little too close for comfort and seconds later he decided to charge. Fortunately, he allowed me to duck away without injury. Whew!
