Wonderful Sky ~ “Sundog” Over Blendon Woods

Fantastic phenomenon in the western sky during colder evenings this time of year ~ the sundog. Often they are much smaller, rainbow-colored beams of light. This one was a HUGE arch, did not have much of the color of a rainbow, but thought it was pretty dramatic all the same.

Barred Owl @ Blendon Woods

My friends corrected my identification today, my friend here is a BARRED owl and not a BARN owl. I fell in love this guy. Perfect moment on the trail!

Sunset w/ Wall of Clouds

One-half of the sky (at left) became a vast wall of clouds, while the other half (right) became an open vista. It was spectacular to see, but I am sure my camera does not do the scene justice!

Beautiful Barn Owl ~ Blendon Woods

Magical trip out to Blendon Woods this evening. This gorgeous barn owl was out early, before dark. He let me get quite close and seemd to enjoy posing. Absolutely beautiful!
