Windswept Fairport Harbor ~ Lake Erie

The clouds were rolling over the wide expanse of rolling water, waves crashing on the beach, seagulls flying overhead, the old Fairport Harbor West lighthouse in the background — all a fairly spectacular sight for a boy from Texas, where the only lakes are reservoirs. Enjoyed my introduction to this sea of a lake!

Brandywine Falls ~ Not a Bad “Side Trip”

Took a drive to Lake Erie and on the way back stopped by a favorite spot, Brandywine Falls. The water from the 86′ tall waterfall was flowing fast and hard. What a side trip!

Nice day for a country drive around Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties in Ohio Amish country. Didn’t care too much for the areas in the towns that were obviously aimed at tourists, But loved driving the back country
