Wonderful hike in Hocking Hills yesterday, my last hike of the year on the last day of the year. The Inner Gorge Trail was much less perilous this week than last, but still had a fair amount of ice cicles hanging from the canyon walls

Cascade of Ice ~ Hocking Hills in Winter
Highly recommend a trip to Hocking Hills in Winter. The ice adds a spectacular element to an already tremendously beautiful area. But be forewarned — stay on the trail and be careful. It is treacherous, very slick all along the trail!
Upper Falls @ Hocking Hills
Just above Old Man Cave. Lots of folks go to Old Man Cave, but don’t visit the Upper Falls which is in the opposite direction. Personally, I love Upper Falls. This particular icy day I had the entire pool and scene all to myself!
Water’s Edge ~ Upper Falls Pool
The bottom of the waterfall, where the fall joins a beautiful little pool of green and blue water
Ice Falls ~ Hocking Hills State Forest

Small Icy Waterfall @ Hocking Hills
This little area is just opposite of Cedar Falls. Nice little pool with an equally nice little waterfall, I think…
Cedar Falls in Winter
Had a wonderful, but very slippery, very trecherous hike in Hocking Hills. The ice adds a nice feature. Here you can see the freezing cicles to the right in this shot…
Autumn in the Tall Trees @ Hocking Hills
Liked the golden-green color of the canopy
Awe and Wonder @ Ash Cave in Hocking Hills
Captured these little ones after they had climbed up on this ledge in the recess cave wall. They were soaking in the scene!
Light Shining into Ash Cave
Just as we arrived a tremendous beam of light was shining down into the recess cave. Wonderful scene, and so lucky to be a witness
