Mild Winter So Far, Brown Eyes!

I don’t see many of these northern mockingbirds this far north in Ohio, particularly this late in the year. I guess it is another sign of a mild start to our winter, This one swooped down along a primitive trail hike and landed in a tree directly in front of me. Guess he wanted a visitor! i always enjoy encounters with these guys. Love their vibrant brown eyes

This is a rare picture for this time of year in Ohio, not because of the bird, but because of the blue sky. Almost every day is a grey one this time of year, The birds and I all seemed to enjoy the brief appearance of the blue yesterday. Today? Back to grey (of course)….
